Fasset is working with the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office as part of its Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) to educate 1 million young people on blockchain-based technologies, web3 and crypto. The partnership will work with JazzCash, the country’s largest telecommunications company with over 75 million customers, to work together on the skills agenda of future institutions to bring much-needed education to the masses.

The Central Asian country’s Vision 2025 aims to boost domestic digitalization for 63% of its youth population aged 15 to 33. PMYP is the main programme for youth skills development.
The youth skills development agenda will address two core areas, including future skills and skills for all.
- Through the collaboration, the two organizations will create a curriculum to teach education about blockchain and web3. The course will also include the technical skills young people need to create careers in the field, with a particular focus on expanding Pakistan’s existing base of world-class web3 developers.
- Fasset will work to create a financial literacy series that empowers young people, especially women and disadvantaged communities, to develop their skills. This will lead them to invest and start earning passive income. Through this training, participants can also earn certificates that will help them find jobs in related fields.
- Web3, blockchain and related emerging technologies will set up national innovation awards. Both parties will participate in the planning of the award.
The partnership also aims to target the Pakistani diaspora around the world, as well as millions of young people in Pakistan, to improve financial literacy in impoverished areas. JazzCash will act as a financial enabler for any transactions required for the next phase of the programme and has shown strong interest during stakeholder meetings to form alliances with like-minded organisations to advance its financially inclusive Pakistan mission.
Pakistan has one of the largest freelancer communities in the world, including some of web3’s best developers, and Fasset believes that through the vision of the PMYP leadership, equipping Pakistan’s youth with some of the most in-demand skills will boost the freelance economy.
The partnership will impact approximately 1 million youth within a year, creating learning and work opportunities with significant economic impact.
