Kate Bush may be climbing mountains all summer, but there’s a new tune in town: The U.S. Space Force released its official service song this week — and it’s a good one.
Named after the USSF’s motto, “Semper Supra” (Latin for “Always Above”) was created to “capture the team spirit of current and future Guardians and intend to bring service members together by giving them a sense of pride. ” According to the agency(opens in new window).
The Space Force, the sixth and youngest branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, was established in 2019 by then-President Donald Trump to “organize, train and equip the military Space Force…to ensure unrestricted Enter and operate freely in space and provide critical capabilities for the joint and joint forces in peacetime and across the spectrum of conflict.”

Former U.S. Air Force band member James Teachenor teamed up with Secretary of Space Operations Gen.
