Sept 21 (Reuters) – Take-Two Interactive Software Inc said on Wednesday that a hacker gained access to the help desk platform of its unit 2K Games and sent malicious links to some customers.

The company urges users not to open any emails or click on any links received from 2K Games support accounts, and to reset their passwords if they have already clicked on the link.

Take-Two said that 2K Games’ support portal will remain offline while continuing to resolve issues.

“We will send a notification when you can resume interacting with the official 2K help desk email,” it added.

Take-Two did not immediately respond to a Reuters request to clarify whether the two incidents were related.
