Nintendo reports that a bug was discovered in Splatoon 3 that could cause votes to not count toward this weekend’s Splatfest results.

Big N shared details on Twitter, saying that some players found that the conch shells they picked up before voting for their Splatfest team — be it Gear, Grub, or Fun — could disappear. If they do, it means that the player’s vote may not be counted.

Currently, Nintendo recommends that players vote before collecting conch shells. Here is the company’s information:

“A bug was found in #Splatoon3 where conch shells earned before voting could disappear and not count towards Splatfest results.

To avoid this issue, we recommend that players vote in the Splatfest before collecting conch shells. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. This bug will be fixed in the future. “

Conch Shells can be obtained during the Splatfest Sneak Peek, which takes place a few days before the next Splatfest. There doesn’t seem to be any problem collecting conch shells after you’ve voted for your team, so just run over to that committee and choose your faction!

This weekend’s splatfest starts at Friday, September 23 at 5pm PT In North America, Saturday 24 September 2am BST in Europe, and Saturday 24 September 1am AEST. The second half of the event will begin 24 hours after the event begins. It’s a weekend bonanza!

We’ll let you know when Nintendo manages to fix this bug, but for now, ignore those conch shells until you vote!

Did you encounter this bug in Splatoon 3? We have a hint, you’ll let us know in the comments.
