guess what? Crypto payment service provider MoonPay has partnered with Universal Studios to launch an NFT-based scavenger hunt at Universal theme parks.
According to The Block, MoonPay will use its minting service HyperMint to issue up to 7 million NFTs as “halloween horror night” NFT treasure hunt.
Visitors will see QR codes at participating attractions. By scanning the code, they will be able to unlock and receive digital collectibles featuring unique characters associated with Halloween Horror Nights.
Iconic horror movie villains such as Michael Myers, Blissfield Butcher, and The Grabber are known to be on the list.
“We’re really excited about this because it’s a real-world use case we’ve been trying to show people,” said MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright. “We’re moving beyond profile picture identities using NFTs to the actual real world. utility.”
The best part is that claims that these NFTs require little or no knowledge of encryption. “It’s basically just a claim page where you can put your email address and boom, what we do in the background is we mint NFTs and we create a wallet for that specific person where they can claim Time to declare it “ready,” Soto-Wright said.
Both Orlando and Universal Park Hollywood have seven types of NFTs. Those who collect all seven will be rewarded with a special Gold NFT. As for the role of this unique NFT, Soto-Wright prefers to keep it a secret.
