Sept 21 (Reuters) – Thousands of users of Microsoft Corp’s (MSFT.O) LinkedIn app and website were affected on Wednesday, according to data from downtime tracking site Downdetector.com.

According to Downdetector, there have been nearly 15,000 incidents of people reporting problems with social networking services.

The site tracks outages by collating status reports from multiple sources, including bugs submitted by users on its platform. Outages may affect more users.

However, the majority of users in the United States reported that they had problems accessing LinkedIn’s website.

Microsoft did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
