As with any major Fortnite update, Chapter 3 Season 4 brings some major changes to the popular Battle Royale map. Now that Chrome is well known, many POIs have received a complete makeover – and they look shiny these days. With so many fresh locations to land on, you might be wondering where you want to start your game. We’ve brought you some of the best places you can land in Fortnite Season 3 Chapter 4.

The Best Landing Spots for Fortnite Season 3 Chapter 4

Cloudy Apartments

Thanks to the arrival of Chrome, Condo Canyon has been completely redesigned as Cloudy Condos. This popular POI is fully airborne and features a number of vertical ziplines to help you get on and off the various bridges connecting all the buildings. Since it’s changed so much this season, it’s a hotspot with a lot of action, so if you want to get into the fray early, this is a good option for you. It also helps that everyone has plenty of loot.

Cloudy Condos is also a good landing spot as it is located in a high security vault just outside POI to the north. If you survive and do some exploration, there’s a good chance you and your squad will walk out of the area station with two keys.

Shimmering Temple

Last season, Shimmering Shrine was the home of the thrilling Indiana Jones puzzle, but this comeback Chrome has surpassed it. Still, it’s a solid choice for those looking for an engaging fighting spot, thanks in large part to its multi-layered design that provides cover and interesting flanking opportunities. It’s also home to some large loot due to the inclusion of chrome chests, which can yield more valuable items than traditional chests.

To the north and east of the Shimmering Shrine are Herald’s Sanctum and Rocky Reels, both of which spin well out of POI. Both attractions are very popular and active, so no matter which one you choose to visit next, you won’t be short of fun. However, if possible, you may want to choose the Herald Temple, and we’ll explain why below.

Pioneer Sanctuary

As previously mentioned, the Sanctuary of the Herald is located north of the Shrine of the Shining, replacing last season’s Sanctuary POI. It’s a big location that’s been completely replaced by Chrome, with a strong focus on verticality and multi-level navigation, which makes for some interesting showdowns with other squads, especially if you can find a higher platform for some scouting and sniping. Like Shrine of Shimmer, it also has a number of chrome chests to help you equip better gear sooner.

Not only is Herald’s Sanctum a great time for those who want to fight at the door, but you’ll also find Herald himself here. She replaced Darth Vader as the big boss fight of the season and could make a real difference on an unprepared team. However, if you win, she’ll drop Mythic Harbinger’s Repeating Rifle as a reward. Sweet!

reality tree

The Reality Tree was introduced last season as a beautiful and magical POI, but this season has seen it become less appealing. However, just because the tree has lost its vibrant foliage doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a worse landing spot—it may actually mean it’s a better one. The dense foliage last season cluttered things up a bit on the tree, and this season no such foliage would make for a better view.

What’s more, the area around the realistic tree has a lot of loot, including the house to the east and the forest to the west, making this POI interesting for some outdoor shootouts. It’s also a great place to rotate, with easy-to-reach roads leading in all three important directions. Of course, one place you might head from there is Tilted Towers, which is also probably the most popular place in the game.

Nowhere on the Fortnite map is as well known or active as Tilted Towers. This POI is just west of the center of the map, and it can help you spin to pretty much anywhere the ring pushes you. With so many buildings to loot, you’ll almost certainly be well-equipped – assuming you’re out at all. This is easily the most active spot on the map, either in a late game drop or during a rotation, so be prepared for a lot of shots. Use long-to-medium-range weapons whenever possible to gain altitude, and don’t be afraid to know when to fold them – there are plenty of cars around the area to escape.

Notably, Tilted Towards also features a high-security vault. If you and your squad can manage to cobble together two keys – which shouldn’t have so much loot – you’ll have access to a ton of ammo, healing items, and premium guns.
