Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 features a slew of new changes to the beloved Battle Royale’s POIs and loot pools, thanks in large part to the arrival of Chrome, which has begun to take over the map in dramatic fashion. If you browse the map, you’ll notice that the Temple of the Heralds is a massive vertical structure erected by Chrome to replace where the Temple of Seven once belonged. In this shiny and spooky castle, a boss battle with the Herald awaits — you might also recognize it as the season’s secret skin — and she’s a very pretty person. Don’t worry though, we’ll show you how to quickly deal with her and get her mythical Herald’s Repeating Rifle.
how to beat the herald
The Herald is located in the center of Herald’s Sanctum, where you’ll find her admiring a sphere. Before fighting her, however, you definitely want to make sure you’re ready to get a full shield, some sturdy weapons, and plenty of ammo. She’ll hit you like a truck when she gets on you, so you don’t want to get caught, especially since her own health bar is huge and it will take a while to reduce.
When you’re ready to knock her out, walk into the big room with her and get a headshot with a sniper or other powerful weapon to get her attention. This will take a little damage to her shield to get to work.

The Herald has two phases of her cycle. At the first stage, She will become invulnerable in a floating bubble and unleash two chrome wolves hunt you down. You and your squad need to get these out before the Herald gets damaged again. Once they’re dead, shoot her as often as possible, remembering she can teleport often. If she gets close to you after teleporting, she can do some heinous damage, so keep going.
She’ll repeat these two phases multiple times throughout the fight, each time requiring you to kill her chrome wolf before dealing damage to her again. She would eventually fall, though, after a long and challenging showdown. When she does, she drops her Mythic Burst Rifle, which you can use to easily take out opponents at mid to long range, so make sure your squad’s ranged specialist grabs it.
