The parents of a missing South Carolina teenager continue their search for answers about their daughter’s disappearance.
Sarah Pipkin, 15, was last seen on August 15, her first day of school at Cane Bay High School in Berkeley County.Surveillance video captures the teen leaving the school with a group of students, local news station WCSC report.
Sarah was supposed to take the bus home that day, but an hour after she failed to arrive, her mother filed a runaway report with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office on the advice of the department, she wrote in a Facebook post. .
More than a month after Sarah went missing, her family has desperately pleaded with the public for information on her whereabouts.
“I need to know. I need to know if she’s safe,” Darling Campbell told WCSC. “I need to know if anyone is hurt [my daughter]. If anyone…I want them to be prosecuted to the fullest. You know, I mean, actually, she’s only 15 years old. She is not old enough to make decisions for herself. “
Sarah’s disappearance is now treated as a missing persons case. The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office told WCSC that the investigation has not been updated.

Ms Campbell told WCSC: “We don’t think it was necessarily an escape, but someone picked her up.”
“…We just want her to come home so she can get the help she needs and get on with her life. You know, that’s what we want.”
Sarah’s father Ricky Campbell said he was concerned about Sarah’s health as she was not carrying anything with her that might indicate she was leaving alone. The day she disappeared, she left her phone and wallet at home.
“If I were to run away, I would make sure I had extra clothes, socks, shoes, etc.,” Mr Campbell told the media. “She didn’t even take deodorant, she didn’t even take the money, she didn’t take it, she didn’t take anything.”
