
Following the leaks of Rockstar’s GTA 6, the fellow Take-Two brand is facing security threats. 2K Games posted a warning on Twitter that one of the company’s customer support desks had been hacked and malicious links were being sent to certain players.
“Please do not open any emails or click on any links you receive from your 2K Games support account,” 2K said. If you have clicked on suspicious links, 2K recommends that you reset the password stored in your web browser, enable multi-factor authentication, run an antivirus program, and check your account settings to see if any new forwarding rules have been added.
2K also says it will never ask for your password or personal information. The support portal will remain offline until security issues are resolved, and 2K will notify players when it becomes available again.
It is unclear who or which group was behind the 2K security breach. Rockstar has also suffered a security breach recently, but not on the customer-facing side. Hacking group, allegedly Lapsus$ – who is Uber The claim is also responsible for its security breach– Released GTA 6 development footage.
